Commercial Lines Account Manager

We are looking for an Insurance Professional to fill the position of Commercial Lines Account Manager in our Woodstock, NB location. This position can be both challenging and rewarding. A candidate most likely to succeed in this role will have plenty of experience in working with people, a genuine interest in helping people, and a desire to keep on learning. The main focus of the Account Manager is to service an existing book of Commercial business by meeting the insurance needs of your Clients. You will be required to obtain a general insurance broker license and CAIB designation (if you do not already have them).

Tasks and responsibilities include:

• Quoting and placing commercial new business, endorsements and renewals
• Reviewing insurance documents for accuracy
• Handling the requests of walk-in clients, phone calls and email inquiries
• Understanding the needs of your clients and making sound recommendations for coverage
• Detailed file documentation and data entry in Agency Manager and company portals
• Invoicing and premium collection
• Notices of loss and claims reporting
• Policy cancellations

Required Skills/Personal Qualities include:

• Computer skills, accurate data entry and great attention to detail
• Ability to listen to your Clients and document your files
• Problem solving skills

A broker licence (current or in the past), CAIB/CIP courses, Claims Adjusting, and Agency Manager experience are considered valuable assets.

Personal Lines Technical Service Representative

This is a support position that provides back up to both Reception and Personal Lines Account Managers. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a general insurance broker licence to perform the duties of this position. Completion of the CAIB designation will be encouraged.

Reception Backup Duties include:

• Telephone answering and general inquiries
• Greeting and directing insurance clients to the appropriate personnel
• Receiving payments and issuing receipts
• Entering deposits and going to the bank
• Preparing outgoing mail and going to the post office
• Renewal tracking
• Entering Claim notices
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Personal Lines Support Duties include:

• Data entry in insurance software (Agency Manager) and company portals
• Processing endorsements and renewals in Agency Manager
• Reviewing endorsements and renewals for accuracy
• Invoicing endorsements and renewals
• Preparing and printing form letters for Account Manager review and signature
• Issuing liability cards (licence required)
• Special projects as assigned
